Bio

My name's C.J. That stands for Cadence Jolene and I swear, if you start singing that stupid Dolly Parton song, I may very well punch you in the mouth. Fair warning. I live in L.A. I like music and I have four dogs. When I finally decide to go to school, I'm gonna become a veterinarian. I have an enormous family. We're unique, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

The People

The People, or The Folk, are a race descended from but quite separate from werewolves. Having been driven out of the old country centuries ago, the discipline of shapeshifting has long since been lost. They are merely ferals now, blending in with the rest of humanity while clinging to and passing down the old ways through the thinning bloodlines. They are fast, agile, gifted with keen eyesight, hearing and sense of smell, and tend to congregate into large packs of large families.

Among The Folk, the elders' word is law in all things, save for marriage: it is the tradition of The People that the female chooses her own mate, a mate that she deems her equal in all things. They are predominantly, but not exclusively carnivorous, preferring to hunt and kill their own prey. They tend to see other races as either fellow hunters (vampires, lycans and certain humans), or weak minded sheep.

C.J. is a non-fandom affiliated OC, though I do not claim exclusivity to her world, since it's a hodgepodge of many lycan/wolf people related stories that I've read/watched/etc. She herself, however, is my creation, so please don't steal her.
